Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 straight away. They are free and open 24 hours a day.
What to check
- Open doors and windows.
- Turn off the gas at the meter if you can do it safely.
- Don't use light switches, electrical appliances or anything with a naked flame.
- Leave the property if the smell is strong. Once the emergency service has made it safe, I can find and repair the fault.
